The “MICROBIOMAT” project, led by JOSE GISBERT S.L., has developed solutions based on low environmental impact biological raw materials for the fashion, accessories, and footwear industries. Focused on two main areas, the project succeeded in creating new biomaterials as leather substitutes, using bio-based adhesives and sustainable fabrics. Additionally, natural dyes encapsulated in nanoclays were researched to improve their application in textiles and flexographic inks. The project, funded by the Valencian Innovation Agency, has achieved successful results in the creation of cellulosic fabrics, sustainable adhesives, and bio-based inks, promoting a more eco-friendly production model.
